Home security guidance and organisation protection

Managed device protection, monitoring and cyber security

WITS device monitoring, supported patching and remote support for enrolled Windows PCs and Macs, plus managed ESET protection, Microsoft 365 security, MFA and practical help when something looks wrong.

Choose monitoring, managed security or one-off help separately. Harrison confirms what is installed, what technical device information and status the agent reports, and what support is included before the service starts.

Home users

Antivirus without the technical confusion

WITS can check existing antivirus, help with supported installations, explain alerts clearly and recommend practical next steps.

Home support can include an ESET licence resold and managed by WITS through its managed-security portal, alongside health checks, alert troubleshooting and device-security guidance. Home users can contact Harrison when an alert or problem needs attention.

Malwarebytes may be offered as a higher-cost alternative where it is a better fit. The selected product, licence term, management scope and total cost are confirmed before service starts.

Business and charity IT support

What antivirus and cyber security support can include

Simple explanations for households, with more detailed account, endpoint and Microsoft 365 controls for organisations.

Antivirus and endpoint security

Antivirus help and WITS-managed ESET

For home users, this can include an ESET licence resold and managed through the WITS portal, health checks and clear help with alerts. Malwarebytes may be quoted as a higher-cost alternative. For organisations, support can include centrally managed endpoint deployment, policy checks and technical follow-up.

Monitoring and patching

Keep supported devices visible and up to date

The WITS TRMM agent can report device and patch status, surface supported technical alerts and provide the agreed remote-support route for an enrolled device. It can be used for routine support and agreed urgent sessions, subject to Harrison’s availability. Windows and Mac use different management tooling where the platforms require it.

Accounts

MFA and access checks

Enable or tidy MFA, review recovery methods, reduce shared-password risk, and check who still has access.

Microsoft 365

Mailbox and tenant basics

Review admin access, shared mailboxes, forwarding rules, stale accounts, and common Microsoft 365 security settings.

Continuity

Backups and recovery thinking

Check whether important data has a realistic recovery route before a laptop, cloud account, or shared folder fails.

Incidents

Suspicious email and compromise triage

Help decide what to do next when a mailbox, password, or device may have been compromised, with experience of Mimecast-style email and web-security controls.

Managed security and device-care options

Device monitoring, ESET licences and security work are separate choices, so you only pay for the protection and management that fit your devices.

WITS TRMM agent

Device monitoring and patching

£40/month first Windows device

£55/month first Mac

£10/month each additional device

  • Device, update and supported health-status visibility
  • Planned operating-system and supported application patching
  • A ready remote-support route for enrolled devices

Mixed Windows and Mac totals, exact patch coverage, alert handling and the service term are confirmed before installation. Support and remediation time is separate unless the written schedule includes it.

Managed ESET

Endpoint and cloud protection

Package discussed and quoted

  • Central policy, licence and security-alert management
  • Options from entry-level endpoint protection to cloud-app, patching and XDR tiers
  • Direct help from Harrison with setup and everyday alerts

The current ESET tier, licence term, device compatibility and total cost are confirmed before ordering.

Planned work

Security review and remediation

Quoted before work starts

The scope is agreed before security tidy-up, access review or remediation work begins.

The agent can support an agreed urgent remote session, but it is not a 24/7 helpdesk or guaranteed emergency response. Monitoring is not continuous human surveillance, and no security product can guarantee that every fault or attack will be prevented. See the monthly device-care prices and boundaries.

Managed ESET options

Choose the protection level around the risk

ESET’s current entry-level business tier is called ESET PROTECT Entry. Packages are selected by purpose rather than treated as a strictly cumulative ladder: the right fit depends on endpoints, servers, cloud apps, email, encryption, patching and investigation needs. WITS discusses the fit and quotes the current licence rather than publishing a supplier price that may change.

FoundationEntry

ESET PROTECT Entry

Best for: organisations that need centrally managed protection for everyday endpoints and servers.

  • Central management console
  • Modern multilayered endpoint protection
  • Server security

Selling point: a clear security foundation with one place to see protection status.

Stronger preventionAdvanced

ESET PROTECT Advanced

Best for: businesses that want cloud sandbox analysis for suspicious files, plus full-disk encryption and mobile protection.

  • Entry protection and central management
  • Advanced Threat Defence and cloud sandboxing
  • Full-disk encryption and mobile threat defence
  • Cloud-workload protection

Selling point: suspicious files can receive deeper cloud analysis, while full-disk encryption helps protect data on compatible devices.

Detection and responseEnterprise

ESET PROTECT Enterprise

Best for: organisations that need deeper visibility, investigation and response rather than simply the next step above Complete.

  • Endpoint, server, mobile and cloud-workload protection
  • Advanced Threat Defence and full-disk encryption
  • Extended Detection and Response through ESET Inspect

Selling point: richer threat investigation and response for environments with the people and process to use XDR.

Vulnerability & Patch Management is not listed as an included Enterprise module and is confirmed separately if required.

All-in-oneElite

ESET PROTECT Elite

Best for: organisations wanting broad prevention, patching, cloud and email protection, XDR and access controls in one tier.

  • Endpoint, server, mobile, cloud-app, cloud-workload and mail protection
  • Advanced Threat Defence, encryption and XDR
  • Vulnerability and Patch Management
  • Multi-factor authentication

Selling point: a broad package without ESET’s managed detection and response service.

Specialist ESET options

ESET PROTECT MDR combines broad protection with ESET’s 24/7 MDR service and Premium Support. MDR Ultimate adds ESET AI Advisor and Premium Support Ultimate. This 24/7 security coverage is delivered by ESET, not WITS. Mail Plus combines mail-server security with Advanced Threat Defence for organisations needing a specialist email-security route.

Patching needs a compatibility check

ESET Vulnerability & Patch Management is included with Complete, Elite, MDR and MDR Ultimate, and is available as an add-on for Entry and Advanced. It requires ESET PROTECT Cloud. On supported Windows devices it can manage supported Windows updates and compatible applications; Windows on ARM is excluded. On supported Macs it can assess vulnerabilities and patch supported third-party applications, but it does not scan for or patch macOS itself. Per-user application installations may also be excluded. WITS can use separate specialist Mac tooling where macOS patching is agreed.

Package names and module availability can change. WITS confirms the current ESET catalogue, operating-system support, subscription term, renewal, management scope and total price before ordering. See ESET’s current platform overview.

Good fit

  • You are a home user who wants clear antivirus or device-security help without technical jargon
  • Your organisation wants practical security improvements for Microsoft 365, devices, managed ESET, patching and backups
  • You need leaver access, MFA, or shared mailbox risk cleaned up
  • You are a small organisation without a dedicated security team

Important limits

  • This is practical IT security support, not a formal penetration test
  • Standard WITS monitoring is not a 24/7 security operations centre or guaranteed emergency response
  • Only supported operating systems and applications can be patched automatically; some updates need a restart or manual work
  • Ongoing support is limited to the scope agreed before work begins
  • Legal, regulatory, and insurance decisions remain with qualified specialists
  • Serious active incidents may need escalation to a specialist incident-response provider

Cyber security support questions

Clear answers for home users and small organisations managing security risks.

Can home users get managed ESET and antivirus help?

Yes. WITS can resell and manage an ESET licence through its managed portal, help with setup and alerts, and provide a direct support contact. Malwarebytes may be quoted as a higher-cost alternative. The product, term, management scope and total cost are confirmed first.

What is the difference between WITS device monitoring and ESET?

Device monitoring reports agreed health, inventory, update status and configured alerts, and supports planned patching through suitable tooling. ESET is a separate managed-security licence. The services can be selected separately or together.

Which ESET package do I need?

WITS checks the endpoints, servers, cloud apps, email, encryption, patching and detection needs involved, including whether ESET-delivered 24/7 MDR is required. The current suitable package, term, management scope and total price are then confirmed before ordering.

Does monitoring mean WITS watches my device 24/7?

No. The agent reports agreed technical status and alerts. Standard WITS monitoring is not 24/7 human surveillance, a security operations centre or guaranteed emergency response. Any selected 24/7 MDR service is delivered by ESET.

Can WITS help after a suspicious email or account compromise?

Yes. WITS can help with practical triage, password and session checks, MFA, mailbox rules and next steps. Serious incidents may need a specialist incident-response provider.

Can WITS set up MFA?

Yes. WITS can help choose and configure suitable MFA for Microsoft 365 and other supported services, then explain the sign-in process to users.

Can WITS help reduce phishing risk?

Yes. Support can cover safer account settings, MFA, suspicious-message handling and practical user guidance. No setup can remove every phishing risk.

Is this a replacement for a full security audit?

No. This service focuses on practical security basics and risk reduction for small organisations. Formal audits, penetration tests and incident response require specialist scope.
