Remote Support

TeamViewer Remote Support

For arranged one-off and first-time sessions, WITS uses TeamViewer with clear permission-based access. Devices already enrolled in WITS managed support can use the agreed TRMM remote route instead.

The TeamViewer download opens in a new tab so you can launch it, then return here or contact WITS when you are ready.

This page is for remote support sessions arranged with WITS. If Harrison asks you to use TeamViewer, download and open it, then provide your TeamViewer ID and password only when asked to begin. If your device is already enrolled in managed support, Harrison will use the existing agent and you should not download another installer.

Use the remote route Harrison confirms

The right tool depends on whether this is an arranged one-off session or a device already enrolled in monthly managed support.

One-off or first session

Use the WITS TeamViewer link

Open TeamViewer only after arranging the session, then share the current ID and password directly with Harrison.

Enrolled managed device

Use the existing WITS agent

The managed agent can provide the agreed remote-support route for routine or urgent help, subject to Harrison’s availability and your service arrangement. WITS does not publish a generic TRMM installer.

See monthly managed-device pricing.

Use TeamViewer for remote support only when you are ready and WITS has confirmed the session with you.

Keep TeamViewer open and share the ID and password only when WITS asks for them.

You stay in control of the session throughout and can end the connection at any time.

How remote support works

  1. Download and open TeamViewer.
  2. Contact WITS when you are ready.
  3. Provide your TeamViewer ID and password so the session can begin.
  4. Stay at your device while support is carried out.

Before the session starts

A quick check before WITS connects helps the session run smoothly.

  • Make sure your device is switched on, unlocked, and connected to the internet.
  • Keep TeamViewer open so the session details remain visible.
  • Have a phone or email contact route ready in case the session needs to be coordinated alongside the remote work.

What WITS will ask for

Only the details needed to start the TeamViewer session are required.

  • Your TeamViewer ID.
  • Your TeamViewer password.
  • A short summary of the issue you want help with.

Reassurance

Remote support sessions are only started with your permission and can be ended by you at any time.

Need help getting started?

If TeamViewer is not installed yet, if the download is blocked, or if you would rather talk it through first, contact WITS and the right next step will be confirmed with you.

Remote support questions

Use remote access only for a support session you have arranged with WITS.

Is TeamViewer safe?

TeamViewer is an established remote-support tool. Only use the WITS link for a session you arranged, verify who you are speaking to and never share access with an unexpected caller.

Can WITS access my computer without permission?

The support flow requires you to provide the current session details and approve the connection. WITS does not use this page to set up unattended access.

What should I do before a session?

Save your work, close private documents you do not want visible, keep the device online and have the relevant error message or account details ready.

What happens after the session?

The remote session ends when the work is complete or either side disconnects. WITS will explain the outcome and any sensible next steps.
